Jasons Music Center
got its start, 65 years ago, rebuilding and reconditioning used pianos.
We maintain a full rebuilding shop and offer full rebuilding services. Our
shop also refurbishes all of our used pianos, giving us complete control over
quality. We also maintain an organ repair shop, on premise at our warehouse.
In addition, we repair and restore almost all other musical instruments - from
clarinets to guitar amplifiers - if it’s a musical instrument we probably
can service it. We are also proud to be Anne Arundel County’s largest piano
retailer. Quite simply Jason’s offers “more for less”.
While we have been in the piano business since 1937, we are diversified, receiving
income from not only piano sales, but from our large guitar, amplifier, and PA
departments; our audio/visual design and engineering staff, our band instrument
division, as well as from Jasons School of Music. Our overhead is paid by this
combination of sources allowing us to provide our clients more for less, and still
meet our obligations. We also offer the best in service. We use only
the “master craftsmen” of the International Piano Technicians Guild
for our customers’ in-home service as well as for any services required
by our Loan Programs. The piano tuner/technician for each county participating
in our Loan Program has enthusiastically endorsed the Program. Our fine reputation
is widely acclaimed, even by our competitors! Today, Steve Cohen owns
Jasons Music Center, with their home office on Ritchie Highway in Pasadena, and
a warehouse outlet in Baltimore. Steve was “born and raised
in the business,” having over 45 years of experience. Following in his father's
footsteps, he adheres to the “old man's” “H.I.S.”
philosophy: Honesty in dealing with our customers, Integrity
in standing behind the instruments we sell, and Sincerity
in keeping all of our commitments. Steve also has written The Lazy
Man’s Guide to Purchasing an Acoustic Piano, a well-respected
book designed to help consumers make the right piano selection. In addition,
he is an industry consultant and sales trainer for several major manufacturers.
He is a member of the Piano Technician’s Guild and has sevrved on the Board
of Directors of the Chesapeake Arts Center where Jasons Music Center has supplied
a complete Music Laboratory as well as a number of grand, vertical and digital
pianos for both the Center’ education wing and for their stages. |
